A few days ago, in response to “The truth“, Ricardo sent me the following message.
"How do I know who to trust? Who is really telling me the truth instead of just wanting to hurt me?"

Create a "feedback loop".
Identify three people, who appreciate you, who want the best for you, whose opinion you respect and who you know are not afraid to tell you the truth, even when it is uncomfortable and may hurt you.
Ask them to give you honest feedback once a month (this is how I do it, although if you prefer it to be more frequent, it also works) about some aspect of your life or behavior that you can improve.
Commit to listening without being offended, defensive or contradicting them.
It is best to take notes, or keep a journal in which you record these conversations and your subsequent reflections.
Over time, you will notice how this practice helps you grow and strengthen your ability to accept the truth (even if it is uncomfortable or painful) in order to take action and generate positive change in your life.
