After the time of disconnection and celebration in the Swiss Alps, this week was quieter than the previous ones.
Mostly I had to catch up with unfinished business and resume my daily activities. Nevertheless, there are several highlights worth mentioning and sharing with you.
These are the 6 that had the greatest impact on me:
H1: Celebration and happiness (on a personal level)
“Are you happy?”
That’s one of the questions I get asked the most…
Also, I get asked a lot if I really enjoy my life as much as I seem to.
The answer to both questions is a resounding yes, although for the vast majority, it is not so easy to understand.
I live my life with an intensity that to many might even seem unhealthy, I am terribly passionate about absolutely everything I do, I give 100% and I am obsessed with creating a positive impact on the world.
From the outside, it may look like I don’t enjoy myself or that I’m too focused on achieving my goals, however, from my perspective it’s completely different.
Celebrating, for me, is a ritual; and I do it after every achievement, after every milestone, but also after every learning and every experience that has made me feel alive.
This ritual. However, it is something totally personal, private, and is usually accompanied by a moment of solitude, introspection and reflection. A walk, a massage, a dinner, a day off; my personal celebration varies greatly depending on the situation, but it is a way to pamper myself and recharge energy for what comes next.
Celebration is a fantastic practice for physical, mental and spiritual well-being and I would recommend doing it as often as possible, because it is an excellent way to keep your energy and excitement high to keep facing the challenges ahead.
H2: The 4 keys to my happiness
Since 2020, when my younity adventure began, I am enjoying the highest levels of happiness I have ever experienced in my entire life.
I attribute the reason for this happiness to 4 keys:
1) To have created a community that brings value to people’s lives.
2) To be considered an important member of that community.
3) That the community is valued both internally and externally.
4) That the community does not stop growing and generating a positive impact on the lives of more and more people.
My theory is that, without some of these 4 keys, I would not be as happy or fulfilled. And here, too, celebration plays a very important role.
Celebrating not only allows us to become aware of what we are achieving and the value we are contributing as a community. It also attracts the attention of outsiders who appreciate what we are doing and want to be part of it, which helps us grow and continue to change lives and stories ❤️.
H3: Celebration (professional level)
Celebration is also a very powerful tool on a professional level, and I dare say that no matter what industry they are in, all companies should celebrate more.
Celebrating, allows employees to connect with others on a human level, also with the vision, mission and values of the company; and, as in the case of younity, to understand the impact of everything we do on a daily basis.
Last week I told you that we took the whole team to celebrate last year’s achievements in the Swiss Alps, and today I would like to tell you, in broad strokes, the main achievements we celebrated.
– 4,297,786 lives impacted (the number of people who participated in one of our free events)
– 754,549 transformations initiated (the number of people who decided to take a course or program)
– 26,816 people attended our events
– 24,970 lives transformed (the number of people who completed a certification or advanced program)
Celebrating at the professional level is also an excellent practice because it is the best way to show employees the impact of their daily actions, and it shows them that they are an important (and valued) part of the company’s community.
H4: Official closing of the flow! summit
Speaking of celebrations and community, last Wednesday the 12th we officially celebrated the closing of the 2024 edition of our flow! summit.
In total, more than 110,000 participants enjoyed the wisdom and teachings of 105 international and Spanish-speaking speakers.
On this call, we sat down with Ángel María Herrera, Maritza Rodríguez, Carla Cofiño and Tomás Lozada to celebrate, share and talk with our community about their experience at our biggest event of the year.
Here is the recording ❤️
H5: 2 months of the blog
The blog turned 2 months old yesterday. The support and love I have received since I started the project has been incredible and I am very happy with the way writing on a daily basis has allowed me to connect and interact with the community.
Due to the flow! summit and our retreat in the Alps, I haven’t had time to answer the emails, but I will start catching up with the inbox as of tomorrow…
Taking this opportunity, I want to share with you the 10 most viewed and shared publications in these 2 months of the blog:
H6: Three quotations and a final reflection
Today I close this newsletter with 3 quotes that perfectly summarize the importance of celebrating…
"Life is a celebration, accept it with open arms and a grateful heart."
Debasish Mridha
"In the end, what counts is not the years of life, but the life in your years."
Abraham Lincoln
"Celebrate the little things, because maybe one day you'll look back and realize they were the most important."
Robert Brault
When we talk about “celebration”, we usually think of an achievement or important event. However, these 3 quotes remind us that what is really important and true happiness lies in enjoying life moment by moment, appreciating the beauty of existence, finding joy in the present and cultivating gratitude for each and every one of the experiences we live.
Until next Sunday, with 6 new highlights ❤️
