… that has given me so much.
“Gracias a la vida” is not only the title of Violeta Parra’s iconic song, but also the name Albi has chosen for this chapter of her life (in response to last week’s newsletter).
I have known Albi for about 15 years and have been advising her for probably the last 10.
Therefore, it filled me with joy and pride to receive this message from her:
"...I feel very grateful and fortunate with everything and for everything. Even with being able to see this and notice it. It's strange because I've changed a lot and it's visits and vacations like this that make me see it more and appreciate it more."
That’s the thing about healing and growing. If you evaluate them over days, weeks or months, the changes may seem imperceptible. But when you put everything in perspective and look at who you were years ago, you realize that by making the right (and some wrong) choices, being consistent, coherent and patient, you can transform yourself into a completely different person, free of negativity, trauma and frustration.
👇 Reminder of the day 👇
- I know it sounds cliché (sorry!), but yes, life is a process.
Don’t expect to see changes overnight. Constancy, consistency, tenacity, resilience in difficult moments and patience are what will give you the perspective to appreciate how far you have come and how much you have grown.
As Violeta Parra wrote, life has given us so much, in fact, it has given us everything. We can do nothing but thank it.
Proud of Albi and all those who have decided to change ❤️
Thanks to life!
