Toughness

“How tenacious!”

One of my best friends, Mariale, and her daughter Maria Victoria used to repeat that expression very often.

Last weekend, at our progressive retreat with Dr Joe Dispenza, I had a very interesting conversation with a member of our community named Rodrigo.

Rodrigo talked to me about how tenacious he has been in the face of a situation, but after asking him a question, I understood that he was actually talking about persistence, not tenacity.

To persist is, for example, to knock on a door again and again and again hoping that it will eventually open. Tenacity, on the other hand, implies exploring new entrances, looking for an open window, discovering alternatives. It's finding a way in, even if the conventional path seems blocked.

By this I do not mean that one is better than the other, they are simply different ways of approaching a problem.

👇 Reminder of the day 👇

As you face your next challenge, take a moment to analyze and reflect: Is there a better way to do it? Do I need to learn something or get some tools to help me move in a better direction?

Just as there is no single path to reach your goal, there is no single solution for every challenge you face.

Don’t just do more of the same, observe, learn and adapt to the situation.

Be tenacious!
