Perfect?

When I was young, I thought “perfect” was that which had no flaws.

However, the years and experience have taught me that, at least for me, the perfect thing is that which fulfills the function I need, when I need it.

A walk can be perfect, even if it starts raining halfway. Dinner with friends can be perfect, even though the restaurant may not have my favorite dish on the menu. And as I shared last week in the newsletter, a diverted flight can become the perfect synchronicity to witness, for the first time, the majesty of a full rainbow.

👇 Tip of the Day 👇

It took me a few years, but I finally understood that the obsessive pursuit of perfection is actually a waste of time, an excuse not to act (whether out of fear, insecurity or some other reason).

You can spend your whole life “perfecting” something, polishing details, tweaking every aspect to the point of exhaustion, but at the end of the day, any imperfect creation that sees the light of day will be infinitely more valuable than the most polished and hard-working idea or plan that never came to fruition.

Enjoy your Sunday!
