Have you ever taken on a responsibility that was not yours?
Â
All (or almost all) of us have done it…
However, today I want to remind you that…
-You are not responsible for what people do, say or think.
-You are not responsible for other people’s happiness.
-You are not responsible for doing what others expect of you.
Â
We live in a society that has made us believe that it is admirable to sacrifice our own happiness to please others. We strive to please others but in the process sacrifice our own identity.
Â
Deep down I believe that all of this stems from a lack of self-awareness. When you do not know who you are, what makes you happy or simply do not clearly define what you want in life, the easiest thing to do is to seek external approval and want to please others.
👇 Tip of the Day 👇
- Reflect on what areas of your life you are taking on responsibilities that do not correspond to you...
How can you let go of that burden of pleasing others and focus on your own well-being?
Â
What activities or practices can you incorporate into your daily life to reconnect with your essence?
Â
Always remember that your main responsibility is your happiness and well-being.
