Believe to see

Seeing is believing” has been the norm for over 2,000 years, and while there are still people who consider it a valid approach to navigating through life, times have changed.

Science has advanced, and specifically neuroscience has taught us that the ascending reticular activating system (ARAS) determines what we focus our attention on and therefore what we experience.

The ascending activating reticular system is a fascinating mechanism of our brain that acts as a filter, deciding what information reaches our consciousness. This is basically why two people can live the same situation and experience it in completely different ways.

👇 Tip of the Day 👇

Your mind is powerful…

When you strongly believe in something, the ARAS focuses on looking for evidence to support that belief. If you think the world is full of opportunities, your brain will be alert to spot them.

Conversely, if you believe that life is difficult, you will find it easier to notice obstacles. It is as if your mind has a magnet that attracts what you believe in and think about the most.

If you change your beliefs, you can literally program your brain to see what you want to see.

Believe to see.
