Very few people know that between 1997 and 1999 I had some appearances in Venezuelan soap operas.

Because of that experience, the channel assigned me an acting teacher, Ricardo, who told me the following in our first class:
"You are here to learn but my goal is not to teach you, but to make you an initiator."

According to Ricardo, there are 2 types of actors, those who initiate (or lead) and those who react (or follow).

At the time, being so young, I didn’t understand it, but after a while I realized that it was much more than an acting class, it was a life lesson that has stayed with me ever since.

In these times, when we are exposed to so many stimuli, consuming information and reacting has become practically the norm. It is easy to go with the flow, to respond to what others do or say.
On the other hand, initiating, creating, inventing, is less and less common, and yet it is probably more valuable, necessary and important than ever before.
Today I invite you to react less and initiate more. Instead of consuming, create. Instead of answering, ask. Instead of following, lead.
